ABOUT THE ARTIST
My
life and surroundings are my inspiration, and my artwork is my portal
in which I tell my story. I am a teenage artist, currently only
seventeen years of age. I am formally known as Courtney Elizabeth
Knox. Art became a part of my life when I first picked up a pencil and
paper, however, I was formally introduced to this passion of mine when
I entered ninth grade, in my first real art class. Since then I have
been finding my way in the art world, and improving upon my own personal
skills to the best of my abilities. In the future, I do intend to
pursue an artistic path. It is my dream to become an art teacher, and
to have the chance to inspire others through my passion. As of right
now, I am only but a senior in high school, and have unlimited
possibilities left for me. I have decided to stick with art, and let
it take me into my future, whatever that may be.

A few words of encouragement...
Not too long ago, my young eyes were opened to so many different aspects of reality. The greatest of which is the reality of time. We are only given a limited amount of time in life. However obvious, it is so easy for one to overlook. So often, we take for granted the valuable time gifted to each of us. We should cherish every moment of our time, every minute with our loved ones, and every breath we are blessed with. Before now, I never truly understood the concept of life and death--I honestly never gave much thought to the idea. I took for granted the air I breath and the good times I have encountered in my seventeen years. I was at a state of immaturity and at a loss of understanding. I wasted my time on meaningless relationships and teenage drama. Now I have made the decision to spread my wings and mature. I will take life, and the little time that I do have, as it comes, and live it to the fullest--cherishing every beat of my heart, every smile, every moment. That is my own personal promise.
